I hate when people say ‘you only hate valentines day because you’re single’

Umm no. you should make fucking assumptions about people… 4 years ago today I lost one of the greatest grandparents anyone could ask for. Not only was I lucky enough to know all 4 of my grandparents, but also 2 of my GREAT grandparents through my childhood. my nonna got to watch her grandchildren grow up and start their own families, then watch those children grow up too. She was a crazy minded but kind hearted tiny little italian woman who’s favorite sayings were ‘why you not eating? Manja baby girl!!’ And ‘are you hungry? No? Ill put on some soup for you anyways’
My nonna had a stroke 2 years before she passed and lost her speech, but still managed to cook, make us feel guilty with just giving us looks, cook monsterous meals to feed an army when dinner was for 2, and walk to church every morning and back. She was a tank and I miss her every day.
